Privacy Policy. What we collect when you call, book a ride or visit this site — who sees it, who we send it to, and how to have it corrected or deleted. No self-service dashboard, no dark patterns: call or write, and a person handles it.
Effective .
What we collect.
Only what it takes to arrange a ride or answer a question. Nothing here is sold, and nothing is collected for advertising — there is no ad tracking on this site to sell it to.
When you call or book a ride
Your name, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, the appointment date and time, whether you use a wheelchair or walk, and anything else you tell us about the trip — a return ride, a note for the driver. Call it in and a dispatcher writes it down. Submit it online and it is sent, over an encrypted connection, straight into the same scheduling system.
When you visit this website
The ordinary technical information any site receives — pages viewed, general location from your IP address, device and browser type. If you use the fare calculator or start the booking form, the addresses you type are sent to Mapbox, our mapping provider, to measure the distance and confirm the address is real. A quote you never submit is measured and dropped — nothing is saved unless you go on to actually book.
How we use it, and who sees it.
Four uses, and only four. We are not a marketing company that happens to run vans.
To run your ride
Dispatch staff and your driver see your name, phone number, both addresses and whatever you told us about the trip — only what it takes to get a specific van to a specific door at a specific time.
To bill a standing arrangement
If a facility, case manager or care coordinator has an account set up for your rides, the billing detail that arrangement requires goes to them, and nowhere else — and only because that arrangement exists with your, or your representative's, knowledge.
To operate the booking form and the fare calculator
A submitted booking is stored in a secure database run by our website provider, Supabase. Addresses typed for a price estimate are sent to Mapbox, as described above, whether or not you go on to book.
To keep the site up and secure
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, our network security layer, see standard web traffic — the same logging behind any working website, used to keep the site online and to block automated abuse.
We do not sell your information. Not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone else. The people it goes to are named above, and it goes to them because your ride needs it to.
Health-related information.
Whether you use a wheelchair or walk, and anything you tell us about a medical trip, is used for one thing: sending the right vehicle and the right equipment.
TrueStar Transportation is not a healthcare provider, and arranging a private-pay ride directly with you does not make us a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA — that law governs healthcare providers, insurers and the vendors who handle claims on their behalf, which is not the relationship here. We say that plainly rather than claim a compliance status we do not hold.
What we do instead: we treat mobility and trip details with the same discipline whether or not the law requires it — seen only by the dispatcher and driver who need them to run the ride, never used to judge or record your coverage or condition, and kept only as long as running and documenting your rides requires. Where a hospital, clinic, dialysis center or other facility that is a covered entity asks us to sign a business associate agreement to carry its patients, that agreement governs the data covered by it — this page describes how we handle everything else.
Cookies, security and how long we keep it.
No tracking to opt out of, because none runs.
Cookies
We run no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookies set on this site are the small, essential ones Cloudflare, our network security layer, uses to keep the site online and block automated abuse — nothing that follows you to another site.
Security
Information sent through this site is encrypted in transit, and booking records are held in an access-controlled database rather than a shared spreadsheet or inbox. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise perfection — only that this is treated as sensitive information, not as marketing data.
Retention
We keep booking records for as long as it takes to run and document your rides, and after that only as long as sound recordkeeping or the law requires — then it is deleted.
Your choices.
Four things you can ask for, and how to ask.
See it, correct it, or have it deleted
Call 763-230-9277 or write to info@truestartransportation.com and ask. A person handles it directly — there is no self-service portal standing between you and an answer.
Stop us calling or texting you
Say so and we will, immediately — the one exception is a ride already booked, where we still need to reach you at the number you gave us to confirm or change it.
Minnesota residents
State law gives you the right to confirm what we hold, get a copy of it, correct it, and have it deleted. The request above is how that right is exercised here — there is no separate form.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
Changes, and how to reach us about this page.
If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes with it and the effective date at the top moves. Anything material, we would rather you heard from a person than found in fine print.
