Brooklyn Center, MNWhere the vans are kept. We drive to you — there is no office to visit, and the drive out is not on your fare.

Who answers when you call.

A person, in this metro. Not a call centre, not a phone menu, and not an app that texts you a driver’s initial ten minutes before pickup. Whoever answers can see the schedule, quote the fare off the published card, and hold the slot before you hang up.

What to say when it is answered.

The four reasons people call this number, and what happens on each.

  • Book, change or cancel a ride

The phone, every time. The fare is quoted off the published card and the slot is held while you are still on the line. Changes are free until an hour before pickup. Booking for a parent rather than yourself? What to have ready.

  • Facilities, case managers and discharge planners

Call for a standing arrangement, or write if it is easier to start on paper. Dialysis units, group homes, adult day programs and assisted living staff book here regularly, and the invoice arrangement is agreed on the same call.

  • A pickup earlier than 7am

Ask for it. The phone is answered 7am–7pm daily, but the standing dialysis runs leave before six and a 4am pickup is arranged the same way every other ride is — on the call.

  • A price, before you speak to anyone

It is already published — no form, no email wall. Every rate is printed, and the calculator prices your own two addresses to the dollar.

What we don’t do.

Printed here so you find out now rather than at the kerb. A van that turns up and cannot take the rider is the failure this whole company is built against — so these are the rides we will tell you to book somewhere else.

  • No stretcher transport.

That is an ambulance. We seat wheelchair and ambulatory riders only.

  • No oxygen supplied.

Riders travel with their own portable oxygen routinely — we just cannot provide or manage it.

  • No car seats.

None on board, and we cannot fit one. A child who needs a car seat is a ride we have to turn down.

  • No behavioral health transport.

Rides needing a trained escort or a secure vehicle are outside what this fleet runs.

  • Not an emergency service.

Chest pain, a fall, trouble breathing — call 911. No amount of waiting for us is the right call.
